The world health organization has found out that whole grains can help improve oral health. They did a comparative study of starchy food items and foods with healthy grains.
It seems that the number of starchy foods you absorb cannot be linked with tooth decay. But it seems that processed starch can cause cavities.
While starch foods degraded your teeth, these grains protected them. It made the teeth and gums stronger. So eat more grains for better teeth.
“The evidence suggests that a diet rich in whole grain carbohydrates is less likely to damage your oral health than one containing processed starches.” – Lead researcher Paula Moynihan
