While most of us want to avoid getting fat, consuming a certain amount of fatty food is necessary for our body to function.
Just like all the other nutrients, fats are essential for a healthy body. However, there is a limit that you need to follow. According to studies, an average adult should get a recommended 20-25% of their energy intake from fats.
So, if you have an energy intake of 2000 Kcals per day, then you should eat between 44 grams to 78 grams of fats. Trans fats, meanwhile, should be consumed less and should only constitute 1% of your complete energy intake for the day.
