If you thought that Low Carb Diets can help you lose weight quickly, there is a catch. According to a new study, low carb diets could result in irregular heartbeat and an increased risk of stroke.
The study which was title ‘U-shaped relationship between carbohydrate intake proportion and incident Atrial Fibrillation’, the study was published in the Journal of American College of Cardiology.
It found that eating food with fewer carbohydrates can lead to an increased risk of arrhythmia. The participants that had fewer carbohydrates in their food were 16 per cent more likely to develop heart conditions. So if you are considering cutting down on the carbs, it is recommended that you consult a doctor before doing so.
