One of the latest trends in the food world is the Atkins Diet.  It is a weight loss diet that focuses on low-carbs and then let you eat into protein-rich and high-fat foods.

Founded by Dr. Robert C. Atkins, the diet is now under fire from major health authorities for misleading the people.  The authorities note that the Atkins Diet is an unhealthy way to lose weight. They also noted that the diet promotes the consumption of saturated high-fat foods.

The idea of this diet is that you feel fuller for a longer period if you replace high-protein food with a low-carb diet. But as the authorities have noted, it could be a dangerous way of losing weight.
