How you can reduce your dietary carbon footprint

Reducing carbon footprint should be one of the biggest priorities in the modern era. The climate is changing and it is impacting us badly as well.

We should be doing everything possible from our side to control the issue. And this includes reducing dietary carbon footprint. Even the smallest dietary decisions that you make can have a huge impact on the issue.

If you are wondering what you can do, then swapping red meat with white meat in your diet should be your first step. Production of red meat contributes to about quarter of the World’s carbon emissions. On top of this, red meat is considered to be unhealthy as well.

This conclusion is based on a recent study which was conducted in the United States. Around 16,000 candidates took part and it was found that a small change like swapping red meat with white meat had a huge impact on the carbon emissions.
