Liver Cancer: Eating this vegetable can reduce the risk

Cancers, in general, are not a good thing and Liver cancer is no different. It is a condition that can put you in a lot of pain but there is a way in which you can reduce the risk.

According to a new study, it was revealed that eating tomatoes can reduce the risk of getting Liver cancer. It is because Tomato holds lycopene which is a strong anti-oxidant and anti-cancer agent. It helps in reducing fatty liver conditions and inflammation.

“Consuming whole foods like tomatoes and processed tomatoes from sauces, tomato paste, canned whole tomato products, ketchup and juice, provides the best source of lycopene,” said Xiang-Dong Wang, Professor at Tufts University in the US.

Other food items like guava, watermelon, grapes and papaya among others also have lycopene but only in lower concentration when compared to tomatoes.
