The idea is eliminating modern-era foods like highly-processed carbs and dairy. It helps in avoiding problems like type-2 diabetes, and heart problem among others. You may also lose weight while being on this diet.

The primary difference between the paleo diet and other healthy diets is the absence of whole grains and legumes. These are considered good sources of fibre, vitamins and other nutrients. Also, absent from the diet are dairy products, which are good sources of protein and calcium.

  • Dinner: Lean beef sirloin tip roast, steamed broccoli, and strawberries for dessert.
  • Snacks: An orange, carrot sticks or celery sticks.

People following this diet should drink lots of water. Palaeolithic humans’ diets varied depending on location and availability of food. People with chronic conditions, such as inflammatory bowel issues, should consult a doctor before trying a paleo diet.
