Lemon Grass Oil: Why you should include it in your diet

Lemon Grass Oil might not be a regular ingredient in your diet. But it’s about time you consider making it one. While it is an important ingredient in many Asian recipes and cocktails, people are yet to explore the daily usage of the food item.

Lemon Grass Oil contains a compound called Citral which is an antioxidant that has the ability to reduce cholesterol. Not only this, the food item has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties on the human body. A combined impact of these three is believed to help manage diabetes as well.

One way in which you can include it in your daily diet is to make herbal tea with the oil. You will only have to add a few drops of the oil to warm water, boil it and drink up. You can also add the oil drops on your flower teas like chamomile or jasmine teas.

Alternatively, you can use the oil as a dressing for your salad. Combining it with olive oil would give the best output as well.

So if you are looking to keep a tab on your cholesterol and diabetes, you now know what to do. However, like all the remedies out there, make sure that you have no allergies towards the oil or consult your physician before making the modification to your diet.
