Lemon Water: Does it help to improve the immune system?

Drinking lemon water in the morning energizes and hydrates your body. It can also enhance your immunity. 

Lemon is rich in vitamin C and is a natural antioxidant that improves the immune system. Lemon water mixed with honey can help your body to fight diseases. 

The best time to drink lemon water is in the morning on an empty stomach. It kick-starts the digestive system and removes the toxins that are collected during the night, from the body. You can also have lemon water at any other time of the day. 

Boil 2 cups of water and let it rest for 3 to 5 minutes. Take half a lemon and squeeze its juice into the warm water. Use only freshly squeezed lemon juice. Skip adding sugar to it. Adding freshly grated ginger and honey to it can improve your liver function. You can also add 1 tsp cayenne pepper to boost metabolism. 

Drink lemon water multiple times a day and strengthen your immunity. Lemon juice is also rich in calcium and minerals which is good for oral hygiene.
