Storing Ham: Here is what you need to know

Ham is an integral part of most of our diets. The food item is widely popular and is known for its excellent dining experience. Due to this popularity, it is important to understand how Ham should be stored properly.

For starters, fresh ham can be stored in the refrigerator for up to five days when cured ham can be stored in the refrigerator in the packing for up to a week. It is always ideal to keep the ham in the coldest part of your refrigerator.

If you have leftover smoked ham, it should be wrapped tightly in a plastic wrap or kept in an air-tight plastic container before being put into a freezer. Leftovers can be frozen up to a month but it is important to track this activity as we often forget the dates and this can result in food poisoning.
