The ingredients you require to prepare the sauce are a 28-oz can of crushed tomatoes, 3/4 medium onion, 1 bay leaf, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, and 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper.

The ingredients for the meatballs include 3/4 cup bread crumbs, 1/2 cup milk, 4 cloves minced garlic, 1/4 medium onion, 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley leaves, 1 3/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper, 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1/2 cup shredded Pecorino Romano or Parmesan cheese, 1 large egg, 1 pound 90/10 ground beef, and 1 pound ground Italian turkey sausage

First, set your crockpot to low. Add crushed tomatoes, onion, bay leaf, sugar, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix breadcrumbs and milk in a bowl. Add the garlic, onion, parsley leaves, pepper, salt, oregano, cheese, and egg into the bowl and mix them well. Then add ground beef and turkey sausage.

Roll the mix into smaller balls. Secure the lid to your slow cooker. Cook them on low for 8 to 10 hours. Now you can serve these over spaghetti, or as a party appetizer.
